the difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it!

i have a friend who was gong through a tough time... my friend knew that God was asking her to do something really hard. she knew God wanted her to, but it was SOOO hard to do because God wanted her to talk to a friend about something really tough. she was scared that her friend would hate her for bringing it up. she knew what to do, and she actually did it. after she talked with her friend, God made the situation turn out totally amazing!

God is calling you to become one of His followers... God is calling to become like His son Jesus.

God is calling us to actually do something about our faith in Jesus Christ. this really hits me hard... i am a pastor who went to Bible School for 5 years and all of that. in reality, none of that matters unless i am doing the things that Jesus is calling me to do. going to church everyday, carrying around a massive bible everywhere you go, being a pastor means nothing unless you are like the person who built their house on the Rock... unless you hear Jesus' words and put them into practice... me included!

i am not saying that you have to perform for Jesus like a circus monkey... i am saying that as a Christian, i am challenged to stop believing the right things, or saying the right things, and actually do them! am i perfect? do i always get it right? NO WAY! but i am constantly going back to Jesus to ask Him to make me the person He wants me to be...every stinking day! GOOD NEWS! He has patience for me as i learn to put His words into practice!

this isn't about me saying LIFELINE do what i say!!! it is more like me saying...Hey i want to be the person Jesus is calling me to be...what about you? are you up for it?
