CAN YOU HEAR ME??? yes i am trying!
listening to God's voice is wierd and scary at times. i am reading a book called "can you hear me" and it tells me that if i am a follower of Jesus i need to hear His voice... or rather that as a one of His followers, He wants to talk to me.
hearing God's voice doesn't have to be as wierd or scary as i often make it out to be. so i am thinking about times when i have heard God's voice lately... it is cool that God wants to talk to me
- he recently asked me to pray out at a prayer meeting for someone in the room...
- he brought some Bible verse to my mind that i had been reading the night before
- he encourages me to stay away from sin all the time
- he slows me down and allows me to think before i say something that i might regret...more and more frequently
i am learning to try to listen to the things that God is wanting to tell me throughout my day. in the book "can you hear me" the author refers to answering machine prayers...where we just talk and leave God a message, i am learning to be in conversation with Him all the time.
what are some of the ways that God speaks to you. and how has he been speaking to you lately? share them and encourage people who read this!!

Some people don't listen to what god is telling you and they always end up getting hurt. Its kinda cool that god speaks to us in a lot of different ways.

totally... i think that sometimes we think that God wants to take our fun away, when in reality he wants to protect us from making supid decisions that will hurt us.
i also think that one of the hardest things to hear God saying is "I love you" our enemy is so busy accusing us and trying to break us down that when God tells us that He loves us it is really hard to accept.
i know i have a hard time with that one...

Hearing God's voice is pretty much the most radical thing ever.
Look around you when you're on a walk outside or driving... look at all the beautiful trees and mountains (man I love BC), or even look at your cat (even if the cat hates you and poos on your bed... wait that's me...) or your fish. What an amazing, creative, God. And that same guy wants to talk to us... It's sometimes hard to wrap my head around but I can't get enough of it.
I love when God talks to me. Mainly when he talks to me it is words of encouragement and love, and once he told me some cool stuff about my future. And I know it was God because Satan tried to get me down about it, and why would Satan mess with anything but the truth right? If you feel low and like you don't matter or something it's lies from the devil and you can know that the opposite is true.
well I think this has turned into a supremely long comment, so I will stop now. But God is RAD, and listening to him is cool.
